From a Japanese TV show. Essentially like a candid camera, practical joke type thing where they place hidden cameras in a private room at a ski resort. There are massage chairs in the room, one of which is rigged… well, watch the video and you will see.
For some reason I really doubt that this is real (lawsuits and whatnot) and not staged, but it was funny nonetheless.

I know it’s hard to believe, but I think it’s real. Just look at the reactions on the victims’ faces — you can’t really fake that. Plus, I see stuff like this on Japanese TV all the time. Japanese people aren’t very litigious, I guess….
I see stuff like this on Japanese TV all the time as well, but I also have 2 acquaintances (1 who is an agent, another a semi-regular gaijin “actor”) who work in Japanese TV and know for a fact that a lot of the stuff that is supposedly live or real is actually staged. Mind you, I don’t know for a fact about this particular program, or rather this particular skit on this program, but the fact that there is so much risk for someone to get hurt (like the old guy who flips head over heels over the back of the chair) and the fact that you can clearly see the outlines where the wall and floor open makes me suspicious.
The Japanese aren’t as litigious as back home (which is in addition to cultural differences, in part due to how long court cases take here and in part due to how inefficient the civil courts often are) but if someone had gotten hurt doing that skit the producers, the TV station and a ton of other people would be held publicly accountable, whether it went to court or not.
