I don’t normally find myself terribly interested in or moved by a lot of the supposed “human interest” crap that U.S. news shows use to manipulate inform us, but I thought this was pretty cool.
And, in his first action of the year, McElwain missed his first two shots, but then sank six three-pointers and another shot, for a total of 20 points in three minutes.
Here’s the video, but in true asshat form CBS has been ordering the video be taken down off of sites left and right so it might disappear.

But the site is filled with incredibly irritating pop-up ads, commercial videos before and after the main video, and you have to have real player (adware anyone?) or windows media player (which will actually work correctly for streaming video that is, since it seems WMP has problems streaming Microsoft’s own WMV and ASX formats a lot of the time), which are the reasons why I am not hotlinking the site. Copy and paste the URL if you really want to, but if the video disappears I’d just suggest going to YouTube or GoogleVideo and searching for “autistic basketball player” or “Jason McElwain”.
