There are a few places you can get free templates or CMS (content management systems).

It depends a lot on what you want to do and what your level of ability with page design, html, xtml, php, css, etc. is.

This site is built on WordPress which is a blogging content management system. It’s fairly easy to use and modify, so if you just want a place to be able to write, post links and such it’s a good start.

There’s also JOOMLA which is a huge content management system which allows you to build an integrated site in excruciating detail, but requires a bit more knowledge and ability than WordPress.

And then there’s also sites like Ready Template which provide ready-made templates for html/xtml sites.

All of the three above links are completely free.
